COURT HALTS APOSTLE KWADWO SAFO KANTANKA’S FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS WITH 10-DAY INJUNCTION

An Accra High Court has placed a ten-day interim injunction halting the funeral and burial proceedings for the late industrialist and founder of the Kristo Asafo Mission, Apostle Kwadwo Safo Kantanka.

The court order restrains former Dome-Kwabenya Member of Parliament Sarah Adwoa Safo from proceeding with scheduled funeral events following an application filed by legal counsel for the Kristo Asafo Mission amid broader disputes regarding the management of the late industrialist’s estate.

Lawyer for the mission, Nana Kofi Safo Kantanka, confirmed that the injunction aims to pause preparations while the court addresses competing legal claims over who holds lawful authority to execute the final burial arrangements and enforce the deceased’s last wishes.

The ruling forces the postponement of funeral ceremonies that were set to begin on Thursday, July 30, despite earlier public statements from Adwoa Safo indicating that preparations would proceed as planned despite internal family disagreements.
