The doomsday prophet, Evans Eshun, popularly known in social media circles as Ebo Noah has been ordered by an Adentan Court to go for a psychiatric evaluation whiles remanded into police custody. The psychiatric evaluation is to be conducted at a public health facility before his next hearing in court.

The ruling was made by Her Honour Angela Attachie, who directed that Eshun reappear in court on January 15, 2026.

Ebo Noah, a 33-year-old known to be a private security guard, is facing charges as a result of a series of social media videos he posted between August and December 2025 on Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube under the handle @Ebonoah. He consistently claimed in the videos that a global flood would occur on December 25, 2025, and that he was building an “ark” to save people.

According to the prosecution these statements or declarations contained in the said videos were made without lawful authority and intended to incite fear and panic among the public.

Ebo Noah was arrested by the Ghana Police Service on December 31, 2025 at Weija in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana.

During interrogation, Ebo Noah reportedly admitted in a cautioned statement to producing and circulating the videos but clarified that the boat he referred to as an “ark” belonged to a fisherman at a boatyard in Edina, Central Region, not him. He also admitted that his claims of an impending flood were false.

Eshun is being tried for publication of false news with the intent to cause fear and panic. The case has been adjourned to January 15, 2026.
