Kennedy Osei Nyarko, the Member of Parliament for Akim Swedru, has voiced his frustration over the ongoing power outages (Dumsor) in Ghana. The MP has made it clear that the time for political rhetoric is over and what Ghanaians need now are practical solutions to the energy crisis.

In a Facebook post that has garnered widespread attention, Nyarko emphasized that it is not the government’s responsibility to determine whether there is power outage or not. According to him, the individuals and industries experiencing power cuts firsthand are the ones who truly understand the difficulties and challenges posed by the erratic power supply.

“It’s not for the government to tell Ghanaians whether there’s Dumsor or not,” Nyarko wrote. “Those individuals and industries who are experiencing these power outages better know and appreciate the difficulties they are going through.”
