Officials of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer’s office on Saturday engaged Ghanaian diaspora youth in Newark, New Jersey, to drum home support for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia ahead of the 2028 polls.

Hon. Anthony Abayifa Karbo, Director in charge of Organisation and Youth Inclusion, Alhaji Abdul Aziz Haruna Futa, and the National Nasara Organizer, and Jamaludeen A. Abdullah, Director of Diaspora Affairs at the Youth Wing, hosted the interactive session at the Yes African Hair Touch in Springfield, which doubled as a barbecue party.
The leader of the Newark Youth group, Gomda Azindow commonly known as Lukman, welcomed the delegation for the visit and presented a list of policy suggestions for consideration in Dr. Bawumia’s manifesto.

Addressing the gathering, Karbo assured the youth of Dr. Bawumia’s unwavering commitment to working closely with the younger generation. He emphatically stated that the flagbearer is open to fresh ideas and will ensure that their views and suggestions are duly incorporated into the party’s 2028 manifesto.
“The youth are not just the future; they are the present. Dr. Bawumia values your input, and I assure you that every constructive idea you have shared will find a place in our policy document,” Karbo stated.
Alhaji Futa echoed similar sentiments, urging the diaspora to stay connected and mobilized as the party builds a formidable structure for victory.
The event, which blended serious political discourse with fellowship, was hailed by attendees as a step in the right direction for diaspora inclusion.
