NPP race: “Adutwum is the asset Ghana needs” – Ahafo NPP executives

Some former and current executives of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ahafo Region have described former education minister and presidential aspirant Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum as “an asset Ghana needs,” pledging their prayers and support for his leadership bid.

The declaration came during Dr. Adutwum’s Hope Tour stop in Bechem on Saturday (4 October) where he met NPP delegates and stakeholders from the Tano North and Tano South constituencies as part of his nationwide engagement ahead of the party’s presidential primaries.

“We believe Dr. Adutwum is an asset to the party and the country. Ghanaians need his expertise to lead this nation,” one of the executives said during the meeting. “We will support him with prayers as he campaigns for the presidential slot.”

Unifier

They praised his commitment to unity within the party, saying his outreach efforts were “timely and reassuring” as the NPP seeks to strengthen internal cohesion.

“Your quest to unite the party is welcoming, and it is our prayer that God will see you through,” one constituency leader told the education minister.

Earlier in the day, Dr. Adutwum met delegates from Asutifi North, Asutifi South, Asunafo North, and Asunafo South, outlining his vision for education-driven national transformation.

Message

He told the delegates that the NPP must remain a party of ideas and innovation, anchored on discipline and delivery.

“Our future depends on how well we prepare our young people for the opportunities ahead. That’s the transformation I’m committed to,” Adutwum said.

“[And] that is my joy in politics…making impacts in the socio-economic livelihoods of Ghanaians gives me fulfillment in politics and not political titles or positions”, he further stated.

Dr. Adutwum’s Hope Tour continues across the regions, where he has emphasized education reform, youth empowerment, and inclusive governance as key pillars of his campaign message.
