Super Clash: We didn’t deserve to lose to Asante Kotoko – Didi Dramani

Hearts of Oak head coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani insists his team did not deserve to lose in Sunday’s intense showdown against Asante Kotoko.

The Phobians went down 1-0 at the Accra Sports Stadium in their Matchday 9 clash of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League.

The game’s only goal came from a first-half penalty expertly taken by Guinean striker Morifing Donzo, keeping Kotoko unbeaten in the season so far.

Speaking after the match, Dramani acknowledged the defeat but argued it did not reflect the overall balance of play.

“We lost. I think we didn’t deserve to lose, in my opinion, and everyone who observed the game, not just watching,” he said.

The coach, however, conceded that his side underperformed in certain areas.

“We didn’t do well in some areas, and we need to improve,” Dramani added.

The loss leaves Hearts of Oak in fifth place on the league table with 16 points. They will next visit the Swedru Sports Stadium to take on Swedru All Blacks in their Matchday 10 fixture.
