Aspiring National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Boakye Agyarko, has unveiled a comprehensive plan to strengthen the party’s communications network as part of efforts to position the NPP for victory in the 2028 general elections.
During an engagement with the Bono East Regional Communications Directorate, Mr. Agyarko emphasized the need for a well-structured and coordinated communications system that connects every level of the party, from polling stations to the national executive. He argued that a clearly defined framework would improve coordination, ensure message discipline, and enhance the party’s ability to respond swiftly to emerging political issues.
“There is a need for a well-defined communications structure from the polling station through the electoral area, constituency, regional and national levels to ensure effective coordination, message discipline and rapid response to emerging issues,” Mr. Agyarko stated.
The former Energy Minister pledged to provide leadership that would strengthen the party’s communications network through better coordination, capacity building, and effective support systems. He assured members of the Communications Directorate that their contributions would remain central to the party’s rebuilding efforts should he be elected National Chairman.
Mr. Agyarko also highlighted the importance of empowering grassroots communicators to reconnect the party with its support base and effectively project the NPP’s policies and achievements. He commended the Bono East Regional communicators for their dedication and urged them to remain united as the party prepares for the next electoral cycle.
Expressing confidence in the NPP’s prospects, he said a stronger communications strategy coupled with greater unity would place the party in a better position to reclaim power in the 2028 general elections.
