The Chief Executive Officer of Joy Industries, Manfred Takyi, has made it clear he will not be mourning the late highlife legend Daddy Lumba.

In a Facebook post on Monday, July 28, 2025, Takyi urged the public to stop pressuring him to issue a tribute, revealing unresolved issues between him and the late musician.

According to Takyi, Daddy Lumba failed to honour an endorsement agreement they had signed. He claimed the musician owed him money and a car as part of the deal, which was never fulfilled.

“I’m not joining in the mourning. People should stop tagging me to pay tribute. He owed me money and a car from an endorsement deal he never honoured,” Takyi wrote.
