The Minority Leader in Parliament and Member of Parliament for Effutu, Osahen Alexander Kwamena Afenyo-Markin, has emphasized the Minority Caucus’ full loyalty and commitment to the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

He made this known on Monday, February 2, after the Minority Caucus paid a courtesy call on Dr. Bawumia to hold discussions on party unity and the way forward.

According to Mr. Afenyo-Markin, the Minority Caucus in Parliament remains firmly aligned with the vision and leadership of the party’s flagbearer and is ready to champion his agenda on the floor of the House.

“Our commitment as a caucus is to the flagbearer of our party. It is Parliament that will carry his vision and advocate for him on the floor of the House as a leader of the caucus,” he stated.

The Effutu MP emphasized that his loyalty to the party’s cause and its flagbearer is unwavering, noting that the engagement with Dr. Bawumia centered on strengthening unity within the party.

He revealed that the NPP flagbearer urged members of the caucus to remain united, a call he said the Minority is determined to rally behind.

“He called for unity, and that is what we are going to rally behind him to deliver victory in 2028,” Afenyo-Markin added.
